Born in 1977 in Brussels, Christian moved to Antwerp in 1996 to study fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His graduate collection won the Christine Mathijs prize for best collection from Dries Van Noten in 2000.
After graduation, Christian presented his collection at the prestigious Festival de 'Hyères, where it was awarded the Grand Prix and picked up by stores including Colette (Paris), Henri Bendel (New York), Pineal Eye (London), and Via Bus Stop (Tokyo). After working as creative assistant for Dries Van Noten in Antwerp and Angelo Tarlazzi in Paris, he launched his own brand in 2003.
Presenting his collection twice a year during Paris fashion week, he has been granted many prestigious awards such as the Swiss Textiles Award (2005) and the ANDAM Prize (2006).
Christian has been teaching knitwear at the Royal Academy in Antwerp between 2005 and 2011. He won recently the European Woolmark Prize (June2012) and the International Woolmark Prize in London (February 2013)
His collections are sold in more than 80 stores around the world.
